Does your switchboard need upgrading?
A lot of older New Zealand homes have boards that were never built for what a modern home draws, and don't have RCD protection. A new board fixes both: safer, properly protected, and rated for current loads.
Signs an upgrade is due
- The board still uses ceramic or rewirable fuses
- Breakers trip often or won't reset properly
- No RCD (safety switch) protection on the circuits
- High-load appliances going in: EV charger, heat pump, hot tub
- The board's been flagged by a building inspection during a sale
- The board is physically damaged, corroded, or visibly past it
What you get
- Assessment of the existing board and a recommendation
- Supply and installation of a new board with modern MCBs and RCDs
- Circuit labelling and documentation
- Certificate of Compliance on completion
